We are all Fulani and Ex-Sufi Muslims who previously believed in the supremacy of Islam and the Jihadist agenda of the Fulani tribe to colonize Africa. Eventually, we fell out of this racist and tribalistic bias when we became an ex-Muslims. We denounced Allah, the Arabian God, Islam, and the teachings of Muhammad.
We are now humanists. To our group, humanism means the realization of the unification of all humans across all nations and tribes as a single race and species that must look after one another. It is the realization that humans are the sole deciders and coordinators of the fate of our race. We must shun labels, superstitions, myths, and harmful cultural practices that seek to divide us and threaten our flourishing. Humanism, as an idea, should replace old religions and guide us into a new civilization that will make humanity great again.
Project Description
The proposed project involves the procurement, installation, and operational setup of a community digital skills centre designed to serve our orphans while operating as a public service hub. Funded by HuMAN, this initiative is structured as an educational and economic empowerment program managed by the Maradi Women Humanist Group to foster digital literacy, self-reliance, and humanitarian values in the region.
Key Operations & Goals
Orphanage Training Hub: The centre will provide free, structured digital literacy, computer basics, and software skills training for children in the local orphanage, preparing them for future educational and career opportunities.
Public Service Center: To generate operational revenue, the centre will offer affordable digital services such as typing, printing, internet access, and digital literacy classes to the general public.
Hands-on Management: Trained members of our group will directly handle day-to-day operations, instruction, and hardware maintenance, ensuring a reliable and safely monitored environment.
Reinvestment: All community revenue generated from commercial services will be collectively managed to cover electricity, internet subscriptions, device maintenance, and basic welfare support for the orphans.
Project Description
The budget includes only the essential, direct startup material costs required to make the digital centre functional.
Computers & Monitors: $400
Networking & Extension Cables: $50
Tables & Chairs for Workstations: $60
Printer & Basic Stationery Starter Kit: $90
TOTAL: $600
The project will be fully operational within two weeks from the release of funds:
Week 1: Procurement, delivery, and transport of the computer workstations and peripheral hardware to the designated site.
Week 2: Network installation, system configuration, setting up the educational curriculum, and launching initial public services.
Expected Financial Return
Based on local demand for commercial digital services and internet access, we project:
Monthly Profit: $150 – $300
Annual Profit: $1,800 – $3,600
Sustainability: All commercial profits are reinvested directly into the facility to ensure long-term self-sustainability, covering ongoing subscription costs, hardware maintenance, and educational resources for the orphans.
Community Benefits
This project introduces a critical technology resource to Maradi, resulting in three core benefits:
Bridging the Digital Divide: Equips vulnerable orphans with fundamental digital skills, dramatically opening up future job prospects and breaking cycles of generational poverty.
Accessible Public Services: Provides the broader community with a reliable, affordable local hub for printing, document preparation, and digital connectivity, boosting local small-business productivity.
Humanist Visibility: Demonstrates the practical power of humanist empathy by transforming an under-resourced space into a center for shared learning, rational empowerment, and community cooperation.
