We came from different religious backgrounds - 4 from Muslim background and 3 from Christian families. We were raised with religious beliefs, but as we grew older, we started to question and doubt our religions. We discovered that our religious beliefs no longer matched our values, morals, and understanding of the world. We found problems with our religious teachings, such as inconsistencies, contradictions, and harmful ideas. This led us to re-examine our beliefs and eventually leave our religions and embraced humanism.

We left religion for various reasons, including: Questioning the existence of God, Disagreeing with religious teachings on social issues like gender equality, Feeling trapped by religious rules and seeking freedom to think, Experiencing hurtful treatment within our religious communities,  and Embracing a more rational and scientific way of thinking.
