What does humanism mean to you?

For us collectively, humanism is a worldview that places human life and dignity above spiritual claims. We believe our strength comes from our minds, our compassion and our shared experiences. Humanism guides us to settle conflicts through dialogue instead of fear or threats of divine punishment. It pushes us to treat women and men with equal respect and to challenge any belief that limits freedom or personal growth. To us, humanism means solving problems using knowledge, science and teamwork. It also means standing with those who are suffering and using our voice to defend their rights. Since we believe this life is the only one we have, humanism encourages us to make it meaningful by caring for each other and building a future that is shaped by fairness and understanding.
