What does humanism mean to you?
For us, humanism means we don’t believe in God or any religion, but we value our humanity, we believe in helping others and showing compassion and understanding. Helping others brings a feeling of joy and fulfillment that can change lives, without expecting anything in return.
Project Description
The first part of the project (in Alabang) educates teenage girls aged 13-19 about reproductive health, self-worth, and responsible decision-making. Many girls in our community lack proper guidance and become vulnerable to early pregnancy which affects their education and future. Through this seminar, we will create a safe and open space where they can learn, ask questions, and be empowered.
This second part (in Bulacan) is a seminar to help couples and parents in Bulacan understand the importance of family planning. Many families have misconceptions about family planning methods, leading to unplanned pregnancies and financial difficulties. The project will provide information with the help of our local Rural Health Unit (RHU).
The third part (in Alabang) is a seminar on that seeks to change the perception that sexual education is forbidden, obscene and shameful to discuss. Due to stigma and lack of open conversation, many teenagers and couples rely on myths and misinformation from social media and peers. This leads to a high incidence of unplanned pregnancies, teenage pregnancies, and poor reproductive health outcomes. We believe sex education is essential knowledge that empowers individuals to make responsible decisions. The seminar will cover reproductive health, common myths and facts about contraception and family planning, prevention of teenage pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, and the importance of respect for one’s body and future.
The fourth event (in Alabang) will discuss self-worth, saying no to pressure, understanding consent, and how to protect themselves from early pregnancy and STDs through correct information and responsible decision-making. The seminar includes a talk by a youth peer educator, a workshop on self-respect and future planning, and a confidential open forum with an RHU midwife. The goal is to give teenagers the knowledge to protect their health and future.

Benefits to Community
The Teenage Pregnancy Awareness Seminar will benefit the community in Alabang by increasing awareness among the youth about the causes and consequences of early pregnancy. It will empower young women with knowledge on self-care, self-worth, and reproductive health, helping them to make responsible decisions and focus on their education and future goals. It will also reduce the stigma around reproductive health by creating a safe and open space for discussion. Overall, the project will promote humanist values of compassion, education, and community solidarity among the youth
The Family Planning Seminar will benefit the community in Bulacan by promoting healthier mothers and children through proper birth spacing, which reduces health risks. It will help families achieve better financial stability because parents can plan their resources and provide proper education for their children. This seminar will also reduce cases of unplanned pregnancy by correcting myths and giving correct information about modern and natural methods. It will empower women and couples to make informed decisions about their bodies and future through better communication.
Overall the implementation of sex education in the community provides significant benefits by reducing teenage and unplanned pregnancies through accurate information about reproductive health and family planning. It empowers women and youth to understand their bodies, to make informed decisions, to resist peer pressure, and to understand the importance of consent. It improves maternal and child health because proper birth spacing allows mothers to recover and allows parents to give better care and attention to their children. Finally, it promotes financial stability for families, as planned families are better able to manage their resources and provide for the education and future of their children.
