What does humanism mean to you?
 Humanism, to us, means focusing on human well-being as the most important goal in society. It is about using reason, compassion, and cooperation to solve everyday problems and improve lives. We believe that people can create positive change through practical action, without relying on supernatural beliefs. Our values are rooted in empathy, equality, and responsibility, and we aim to reflect these principles in everything we do as a collective.

In our community, where many people face daily economic challenges, humanism means taking initiative to support one another through sustainable and practical projects. It encourages us to create opportunities, promote dignity, and build solutions that directly benefit people’s lives. Through our work, we try to show that small, cooperative efforts can lead to meaningful improvements in both livelihoods and community well-being.

Project Description
 The Kpakpa Humanist Collective is seeking $1200 in funding to establish a small community internet cafe and workspace in Dapaong. The project aims to provide affordable internet access and a quiet, productive workspace for students, young professionals, job seekers, and community members who currently lack reliable connectivity and suitable working environments. Many residents in our area cannot afford personal internet subscriptions or devices, which limits their access to education, job opportunities, and skill development.

By setting up a modest internet cafe equipped with computers, reliable connectivity, and basic facilities, we will create a shared space where people can study, work, and access online resources at a low cost. The cafe will operate using a combination of laptops and Chromebooks, supported by stable internet routers and backup power solutions. We have a dedicated space which belongs to the community to be used for the cafe where we don't need to pay rent. Members of the collective will manage daily operations, including customer service, equipment maintenance, and record-keeping. The space will also include a projector for occasional workshops and training sessions. This initiative reflects our humanist values by using practical cooperation to address a real community need and promote education and economic empowerment. Over time, the project will generate income to sustain operations and support other humanist activities in the community.

Expected Income from Project, with Timeline
 The internet cafe is expected to begin operations within the first two weeks after setup. In the first month, we anticipate serving 15–25 users daily at an average fee of $1–$2 per session, generating approximately $300–$700. By the second and third months, as awareness grows, daily users are projected to reach 25–40, producing monthly revenue of $600–$1,200. A portion of the income will be reinvested into internet fees, maintenance, and electricity, while the remainder will support collective members and future projects.
